I couldn&rsquo;t find a compelling reason to add a loop to my agentic AI usage just for the sake of it. Neither did I understand what it really meant. I even made a <a href="https://youtube.com/shorts/kMg9G8e94gM?feature=share">short video</a> about this.</p> <h2 id="previous-attempts-at-looping-ai">Previous attempts at looping AI</h2> <p>Late last year, there was a lot of excitement about <a href="https://ghuntley.com/loop/">Ralph Loops</a>. There was also Steve Yegge&rsquo;s <a href="https://github.com/gastownhall/gastown">GasTown</a> which, to me, was a framework to do much more sophisticated forms of multi-agent work than loops. The <a href="https://openclaw.ai">OpenClaw</a> wave was the first large-scale demonstration of the power of AI running in a loop.</p>
